Reading Is Fundamental Podcast
I’m super happy to announce a new project with my friend Dextra. We’ve created a podcast and companion YouTube channel where we talk about and break down legal issues related to the entertainment industry. Our goal is to provide education to independent content creators through the lens of our gayness, sex positivity, radical acceptance, and obsession with Drag Race – which is why this podcast is called ‘Reading is Fundamental! . . .Coz you need to read your damn contracts!
My co-host Jake Nousomme, aka Dextra, is a graduate of the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (cum laude) in San Francisco, California. He was admitted to practice law in California in December 2017. Jake currently works as in-house counsel where he handles commercial agreements, advises on privacy law compliance, intellectual property matters, and works with internal teams to provide legal counsel. He holds five privacy law designations administered by the IAPP (CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, FIP) and is a member of the Intellectual Property Law and Privacy Law sections of the California Lawyers Association. Jake is also a licensed real estate agent. Outside of work, you will likely find Jake situated in front of a book or sewing machine or creating something for his drag character, Dextra.
